This mission which is at the heart of everything we do has allowed us to respond to local needs by addressing the social determinants of health. We achieve this through our program areas: Housing Economic Sustainability Education Community Wellness and DV/SA Prevention and Intervention. Today EPHC serves more than 30000 people annually and employs over 100 staff members the majority of whom are bilingual and over 93 are bicultural.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
UNICA is a program within El Programa Hispano Catlico that provides prevention and intervention services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. The goal of the program is to provide support advocacy and opportunity for selfempowerment that enables survivors to exercise free and informed life choices. UNICA is home to the first 24hour DV/SA Spanish language Crisis Line offered in the state of Oregon. This is a bilingual Domestic Violence Survivor Advocate position that will provide short term (approximately 36 months) crisis case management safety planning and resource navigation to DV survivors that are referred to UNICA through our 24/7 UNICA Crisis Line and other community partners. The advocate will support with coordination and facilitation of support groups and conducts community outreach to reach Latine survivors of domestic violence. This position requires a strong antioppression and social justice lens.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

COMPENSATION: $24 $26/hr. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.
LOCATION & TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Most of the work performed in this position will be done out in the community meeting with survivors where they feel safe or accompanying survivors to needed services. There are times that work can be done remotely from home; however most work is done in the office. Onsite work is located at EPHCs offices in Gresham OR. Job duties may require occasional travel and evening and weekend work depending on project deadlines.
