Sociology Teacher Outstanding School Surrey
An Outstanding Ofstedrated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and insightful Sociology Teacher to join their successful and wellregarded Humanities/Social Sciences department. This is a fulltime permanent position primarily teaching Key Stages 4 and 5. The school has a strong track record of student achievement in Sociology.
Responsibilities:
The successful Sociology Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that explore the complexities of social life. You will cover a range of sociological topics theories and research methods preparing students for success in Sociology examinations (GCSE and ALevel). Developing students critical thinking analytical abilities and research skills are central to this Sociology Teacher role. An excellent Sociology Teacher will thrive here.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a qualified Sociology Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Sociology or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level (Key Stages 4 and 5 ideally with evidence of strong student outcomes is essential. Strong subject knowledge excellent communication skills and effective classroom management are required.
