Job Description
We are launching a new venture within Autoliv to redefine safety for Motorcycle and Bike mobility and were looking for a technologydriven intrapreneurial leader to take the helm.
As Managing Director of the Motorcycle & Bike (M&B) business you will be responsible for building this greenfield business from the ground up. With full P&L ownership you will lead strategy product innovation commercial development customer satisfaction and operational shaping a scalable highimpact business aligned with Autolivs purpose of saving lives.
This role is ideal for a seasoned leader who combines deep technical understanding strong customer orientation and the ability to translate vision into action in a global matrix environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead with Vision and : Define and execute the strategy for Autolivs M&B business transforming safety for motorcycles and bikes through smart techenabled solutions both as a component supplier and system integrator.
- Drive Product and Technology Development: Steer a focused fastpaced roadmap in close collaboration with RDE/Incubation Divisions and external partners to bring innovation to market quickly and reliably.
- Shape the Customer Landscape: Engage with global motorcycle OEMs rider gear manufacturers and technology partners to define needs codevelop solutions and establish strong commercial traction.
- Build the Organization: Establish a lean agile team and operating model suitable for growth. Foster a culture of speed ownership and technical excellence.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Establish lean and scalable operations from the ground up. Drive disciplined across development industrialization quality and cost with a clear focus on speed adaptability and resource efficiency typical of a startup environment without compromising on quality.
- Integrate Within the Ecosystem: Navigate Autolivs global network to align support functions leverage existing capabilities and maintain strategic alignment across MSS RDE/Incubation and Divisions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong background in engineering product development or program management ideally with global experience in the mobility or technology space.
- Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams build from a blank sheet and build from concept to industrialization.
- Strategic and Business mindset with strong analytical capability and a practical bias for action.
- Experience in customerfacing roles and an ability to translate technical value into commercial impact.
- Familiarity with Autolivs processes and structures or equivalent experience from Tier 1 Automotive supplier is a strong asset.
- Proven experience from the motorcycle bike or micromobility sectors with a solid understanding of market dynamics safety needs and product requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership in a startup or highgrowth business environment with the ability to operate in ambiguity build operations and drive entrepreneurial .
- Fluent in English; additional language skills such as such as Japanese or Italian is considered an asset.
