Job Description
An engaging and knowledgeable History Teacher is sought by a wellestablished Independent Girls school in Barnet. The successful candidate will ignite a passion for the past in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 fostering critical thinking and historical understanding.
Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver captivating History lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE History examinations ensuring a solid understanding of key events.
- Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages debate and analysis of historical sources.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing insightful feedback to support their historical inquiry.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a History specialism.
- Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of British and world history.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills capable of bringing the past to life for students.
