Job Description
A thoughtful and engaging Religious Education Teacher is sought by a nurturing Independent Mixed school in Brent. The successful candidate will guide students in Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore diverse religious and ethical perspectives fostering critical thinking and respect.
Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE Religious Studies examinations ensuring a comprehensive understanding.
- Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that encourages respectful dialogue and critical analysis of beliefs.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing insightful feedback to support their understanding.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a Religious Education or Theology specialism.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- A strong academic background in religious studies and a passion for the subject.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills capable of leading sensitive and engaging discussions.
