Job Description
Global Property and Casualty Provider seeks an experienced Scrum Master. In this role you will be instrumental in building highperforming teams from the ground up. As a Scrum Master you will mentor your teams to embrace agile principles and practices with a strong emphasis on establishing fundamental agile ceremonies and practices that drive efficiency and predictability such as backlog grooming sprint planning and retrospectives.
Responsibilities:
Build robust agile and team practices from the ground up with matrixed teams. Partner with other Scrum Masters to ensure strong and aligned practices across the organization.
Champion agile principles and practices ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Ensure the team is hitting target deliveries and creating predictable velocity.
Create and facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning backlog grooming sprint reviews and retrospectives. Ensure effective communication collaboration and alignment within the team.
Proactively remove impediments for the team fostering an environment conducive to collaboration and productivity. Ensure a smooth and efficient development process.
Collaborate with the development team to resolve impediments and ensure smooth sprint .
Facilitate team discussions and decisionmaking processes empowering the team to be selforganized and manage issues risks and dependencies.
Actively participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives to assess progress gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in both the product and process.
Track and report the teams progress identify risks and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely delivery of features/work. Utilize team metrics and reports such as velocity or burnup charts.
Use team metrics to drive improvements. Analyze data to identify trends areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance team performance. Implement strategies based on metrics to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to help prioritize work in a way that aligns with dependencies and objectives.
Solicit feedback from stakeholders and customers to inform product decisions and enhancements fostering a customercentric approach.
Qualifications
35 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment.
Strong facilitation communication and interpersonal skills to manage scrum teams.
Negotiation skills needed to effectively remove blockers that prevent teams from delivering.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks particularly Scrum and Kanban.
Experience managing Agile teams compromised of FTE s and offshore consultants.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is required. Advanced certifications (e.g. CSP SAFe) are a plus.
3 years of Commercial Property & Casualty insurance products and processes experience.
Bachelor s Degree (relevant to insurance IT or MIS) or comparable work experience.
