Pattern Master is a skilled professional in the fashion industry who translates design concepts into precise accurate patterns for garment production. They create patterns using various tools and materials ensuring proper fit functionality and manufacturability. This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to interpret design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Pattern Development: Creating initial garment patterns based on designer sketches or concepts.
Pattern Grading: Scaling patterns to different sizes while maintaining proportions.
Fit Evaluation: Collaborating with designers and sample makers to refine patterns for optimal fit and style.
Pattern Adjustment: Making necessary adjustments to patterns based on fit evaluations and design specifications.
Technique and Tool Proficiency: Utilizing both manual and digital methods for pattern making.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of patterns including revisions and specifications.
Collaboration: Working with designers and technical teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
Training and Mentorship: Potentially training and mentoring junior team members.

Technical Proficiency: Understanding of pattern making techniques principles and software.
