Perform environmental monitoring of production areas and equipment.
Identify and control microbial contaminants to ensure product safety and shelf life.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure good laboratory practices (GLP).
Develop and validate microbiological testing methods as needed.
Monitor hygiene practices in the production environment in collaboration with the QA team.
Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions where required.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI ISO HACCP etc..
Support product development by testing new ingredients and formulations.
Keep up to date with regulatory changes and microbiology advancements in the dairy sector.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Microbiology Dairy Science Food Technology or a related field.
1 3 years of experience in a microbiology lab preferably within the food or dairy industry.
Familiarity with standard microbiological techniques (e.g. plating PCR ATP testing etc..
Strong attention to detail organization and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
