ECC Veterinary Nurse  AEC Victoria (Moorabbin Mount Waverley and Frankston)

We are currently seeking Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinary Nurses to join our dedicated teams at Moorabbin Mount Waverley or Frankston. Opportunity to work across two or all three locations or just whichever one is the closest to home!

As an ECC Veterinary Nurse you will play a vital role in delivering topnotch emergency and critical care services to our patients ensuring they receive the highest level of medical attention and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients under the supervision of our skilled veterinarians
  • Monitor patients vital signs and response to treatment making necessary adjustments as required
  • Assist with emergency procedures surgeries and diagnostics
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge in ECC nursing

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Applicants currently studying their Certificate IV will be considered!
  • Proficiency in IV catheter placement blood sampling and anesthesia monitoring advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners
  • Willingness to work evenings weekends and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
