About the Opportunity

The Director Impact & Insights will serve as a key member of Effective Philanthropys leadership team and will contribute to advancing Minderoos mission by role modelling collaboration value alignment best practice and an impact focus outcome orientation. You will create and support a high performing team whilst also collaborating with other Focus and Enabler areas.

Your day to day will include:

  • Partnering with CEO and senior leaders to develop refine and implement the foundations longterm strategy to drive systemic change aligned with our mission values and theory of change.
  • Facilitating organisationwide alignment to strategic priorities ensuring coherence across teams and initiatives.
  • Supporting the translation of Outcomes into clear measurable goals milestones and action plans.
  • Driving the strategic development and of Minderoos approach to impact measurement learning and adaption embedding learning and adaptation into the heart of how the organisation works.
  • Leading a high performing culturally thriving team to focused on strategy impact management and insights.
  • Leading the implementation of the annual planning and project approval processes.
  • Leading internal reviews and strategy health checks to evaluate effectiveness and inform midcourse adjustments.
  • Developing and delivering training programs workshops and resources to build capacity in systems thinking adaptive strategy and impact design.
  • Driving cross portfolio collaboration required to deliver timely insightful reporting and compelling storytelling tailored to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the successful implementation of our impact measurement software and work collaboratively to ensure any technical and behavioural challenges are overcome.
  • Staying abreast of the latest trends methodologies and emerging practices in systemsled philanthropic strategy and learning engaging in sector networks and presenting at events.

 


    Qualifications :

    About You

    The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader who can unite team members and colleagues towards a culture of learning and adaption to maximise impact. In terms of experience you will be well versed in developing and driving strategy impact measurement learning and reporting processes in complex organisations. Ideally you will hold a post graduate degree in Economics Social Sciences Evaluation or a similar field. A solid background of ten or more years in impact strategy measurement and learning with a public profile and strong networks are also preferable.

    In addition you will have:

    • Significant experience in strategy systems change or complex program design ideally within philanthropy social innovation or international development.
    • Strong strategic agility and analytical criticalthinking and problemsolving skills with an ability to balance disciplined against strategic priorities.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience managing the implementation of innovative technology platforms to support learning and insights.
    • Ability to guide groups through complex discussions decisionmaking processes and problemsolving with clarity empathy and purpose.
    • Confidence in managing conflict navigating differences and building consensus whilst maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere.
