Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to join AECOM Bridge Department in Seattle WA.
This position is expected to begin in May 2025.
As a Structural Engineering Intern specializing in Bridges you will work under the supervision of experienced engineers to gain handson experience in the design analysis and construction of bridge structures. This internship will provide you with exposure to various phases of bridge engineering projects including planning design evaluation and construction. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelors degree and plan to continue with the Masters degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelors degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software.
- Some basic coursework in steel and concrete design.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time deadlines keep track of steps and prioritize tasks.
