R Software Engineer Reactjs/Nodejs Chennai/Pune
Looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer able to take an advanced role in a software engineering team utilizing React and PostgreSQL
Responsibilities
- Bring suggestions and ideas on how to solve our customers problems in the best way
- Be current with the latest trends in industry and academia and always look to implement novel ideas in GfKs predictive analytics solutions
- Work closely with Engineering and Product managers to translate business use cases to workable solutions that can be delivered to Production
- Work with the architects and an Agile team to influence the overall system architecture and performance goals
- Ensure timely delivery of software projects while promoting and maintaining high quality
- Ensure high software quality by writing unit and integration tests in TDD approach
- Suggest initiatives (e.g. training) that improve working efficiency and quality
- Actively contributing in agile practices such as estimating and planning and retrospectives.
Qualifications :
- 7 years of experience in engineering software with demonstrable experience throughout the entire stack and a strong background in React and relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL)
- Fluent in JavaScript and Typescript.
- Writing scalable backends using NodeJS.
- Experience in designing and building secure RESTful APIs.
- Experienced in working under CI/CD workflows and using version control tools like gitlab/ github/ bitbucket including its pipeline configuration
- The ability to build clean well encapsulated packages to a high standard.
- The ability to write unit tests and whats the good and bad sides of measuring code coverage.
- Full vocabulary of core creational structural and behavioural software design patterns and the ability to consistently employ the cache pool strategy chain of responsibility observer and visitor patterns as appropriate
- The ability to effectively manage code complexity in a large code base through the appropriate application of software architecture principles (layering modularisation etc. and software design patterns
- Experience in unit and endtoend testing mocking frameworks (Jest Cypress/Playwright)
