Job Description
The Senior Cloud Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. This position requires a blend of advanced technical skills and handson experience in cloud operations within dynamic environments. You will be responsible for leading the deployment monitoring and maintenance of cloudbased systems ensuring their reliability and performance. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to implement best practices troubleshoot complex issues and drive the continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
Lead the design implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
Monitor and optimize cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Oversee the deployment of cloudbased applications and services.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure.
Automation and Scripting
Develop and maintain advanced scripts to automate routine tasks and processes.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement robust automation solutions.
Ensure that automation scripts are welldocumented and maintainable.
Security and Compliance
Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud environments.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration and Leadership
Work closely with crossfunctional teams to support cloud initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Participate in oncall rotations to provide 24/7 support for cloud systems.
Qualifications :
CompetenciesTo perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Technical Expertise Deep understanding of cloud technologies and services (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
ProblemSolving Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
Communication Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Leadership Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and drive crossfunctional teams.
Adaptability Comfortable working in fastpaced environments and adapting to changing priorities.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
5 years of experience in cloud operations or a related field.
Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven track record of leading cloud projects and initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with infrastructureascode tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
Advanced understanding of networking concepts.
