Were seeking talented Software Development Engineers to join our Living Room LEX team building immersive experiences for Web and 3P Living Room devices (Smart TVs gaming consoles streaming devices). Our living room apps need to handle the complexities of different TV platforms while delivering a consistent highquality viewing experience optimized for the leanback environment. You will be working on features/projects where you need to build tech from groundup involving contributing to the entire software development life cycle.
Key job responsibilities
* Design and implement Linear TV experiences for Web and 3PLR platforms
* Build performant UI components optimized for TV navigation and remote control input
* Create sophisticated program guides and channel browsing experiences
* Implement efficient rendering techniques for resourceconstrained devices
* Optimize application startup time and runtime performance
* Work with partner teams to integrate with backend services and APIs to enable personalized content recommendations

The Linear Experience (LEX) team is responsible for bringing Prime Videos Live TV experience to life across all client platforms. We work closely with Linear Discovery Services and UX teams to create compelling personalized viewing experiences. Our applications serve millions of customers daily providing seamless access to live content across devices.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Strong experience in Rust Java JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks
Experience with TV app development and complex state management in resourceconstrained environments
Knowledge of video playback DRM and streaming technologies
Understanding of TV platform limitations and optimization techniques
Experience with crossplatform development and browser compatibility
Familiarity with WebGL or similar graphics technologies
Experience with or willingness to learn accessibility features for TV platforms
Familiarity with analytics and performance monitoring tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market.
