This position will be responsible for providing legal advice on a variety of topics related to pharmacy networks. The qualified candidate must be able to develop a detailed and strategic understanding of the PBM business model and the various state and federal laws impacting pharmacy networks and network management. The position requires an understanding of the health care industry as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to understand and manage complexity influence business colleagues foster collaboration and drive results in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities:
Draft review and negotiate pharmacy provider agreements.
Provide daytoday legal support relating to the pharmacy network management.
Research and provide interpretative and practical advice regarding a variety of state and federal laws impacting pharmacy networks.
Effectively collaborate with internal partners to advise and respond to a variety of legal issues impacting the pharmacy network.
Develop strong business relationships with stakeholders involved with the Companys pharmacy network operations.
Qualifications:
J.D. from accredited law school/Bar membership required
At least 5 years corporate legal department or law firm experience
Broad knowledge of the health care and health services industry needed; knowledge of HIPAA and health care fraud waste and abuse laws needed.
Experience in regulatory is preferred
Experience with provider networks is a plus
Strong analytical written and oral communication skills including negotiation skills
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to develop and manage relationships and collaborate effectively
Ability to identify issues and propose actionable legal and business solutions
Strong work ethic with effective timemanagement skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Demonstrated good judgment and attention to detail
Ability and desire to learn new subject areas and willingness to take on new responsibilities
Open to remote for the right candidate or hybrid.
