You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Social Work Department within the Division of Care Management comprises masters level Social Workers credentialed as Clinical Social Work Associates (CSWAs) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs). The Division of Care Management Social Workers provides services across Inpatient Emergency Department Ambulatory and Transitional Care. The Social Work Department Social Workers may hold dual licensure within the state of Washington and additional professional accreditations. Social Workers are behavioral health experts. Social work practice in behavioral health promotes wellbeing through assessment diagnosis treatment and prevention of mental illness substance use and trauma. Social Work offers interventions through direct treatment provision and coordination of needed services to patients and their families. Psychosocial adjustment difficulties associated with illness injury disability and related hospitalization. Social Workers provide interventions related to crisis support and brief counseling abuse and neglect emotional and behavioral stabilization endoflife needs and community referrals. Assessment of safety and fulfillment of all requirements as mandatory reporters for patient populations across the life span.
The Evening/Weekend Float Social workers primary role is to support needs within our inpatient hospital system. This position helps provide support to both pediatric and adults for urgent after hours needs with weekends focusing on adult coverage. This position requires the ability to work across various service lines and provide other hospital coverage as necessary.
Conducts psychosocial evaluations of patients/families and significantothers including but not limited to the following: adjustment to medical orhealth condition; care coordination; mental health status; adjustment/compliance to treatment process; substance usage; child andelder abuse/neglect assessments; domestic violence issues; cognitive status(including potential guardian issues); and patient/family resources.
Provides crisis intervention and supportive shortterm counseling topatients/families and significant others as necessary to meet immediatepsychosocial needs including but not limited to: Trauma/EmergencyDepartment/ On Call/ Family Notification CODE Response (familyintervention); unanticipated change in health conditions/suicidal ideation;teenage pregnancy; single parent pregnancy/parenthood domesticviolence child and elder abuse/neglect.
Provides grief/loss counseling and education regarding: fetal demise;actual/pending death of patient/family member; complicated pregnancies;pregnancy termination support postpartum depression; chronic/acutestress associated with life circumstances; divorce/separation; loss ofindependence associated with illness or disability.
Provides brief psychotherapy including: individual shorttermpsychotherapy; group work including information/support groups familysupport patient therapy); regarding but not limited to issues of adoptionabortion domestic violence family of origin sexual/gender substanceabuse parenting relationship adjustment to disabilities and chronic oracute illness.
A Masters Social Work (MSW) required.
Effective January 1 2011 Certificate of Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required for employees who practice clinical social work.
