Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Works on assignments that are basic to routine in nature wherethe ability to recognize deviation from accepted or usual practicesis required.
Works on basic to routine assignments following written Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) Master Batch Records and currentGood Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Works in conjunction with other Packaging Technicians under theguidance of a Group/Team Leader and the Packaging Manager.
Works on manufacturing and packaging of Gilead products;
Assists in the inspection of Gilead products Clinical Trial Materialand components.
With guidance works on the packaging of Gilead products andClinical Trial Material.
Sets up and operates Packaging line equipment including viallabeler vial label laser and carton laser.
Prepares cleaning solutions and cleans packaging areas includingwalls ceilings floors and equipment.
Complies with all safetyrelated procedures and practicespersonally and in area.
Sets up checkweighing of multiunit cartons.
Performs basic ERP/MES transactions.
Receives welldefined instructions on routine work and detailedinstructions on new assignments.
Reports variance or deviation from standard procedures todepartment management.
Takes variant action only with approval of departmentmanagement.
1st and 2nd shifts available subject to managers discretion.

Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrates familiarity with written Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records
Demonstrates sufficient verbal written and interpersonalcommunication skills to communicate basic information to peersand team lead.
Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and administrative policies.
Demonstrates ability to follow directions and work with onlymoderate supervision.
Education & Expereince
Associate Degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience
OR
High School Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience
