Job Description
Applications are now being taken for interested internal applicants to fill several Beach Lifeguard positions for yearround and the 2025/2026 summer season.
We have the following positions available:
- Permanent Contract yearround
- 2year temporary contract Dates: 28 May 2025 to 25 April 2027
- 30week Seasonal contract Dates: 29 September 2025 to 26 April 2026 and
- 7week Seasonal contract Dates: 15 December 2025 to 1 February 2026
City of Newcastles Beach Lifeguards provide an essential service to the community and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all beach users.
CNs Lifeguards support the wellbeing of the community by actively supervising the beach and bath areas by enforcing safe beach practices providing prompt and effective assistance in the instance of emergencies and thereby fostering a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Interviews:
- An interview will be required for the following positions:
- Permanent and
- 2year Temporary Contract
- An interview may be required for Seasonal fixed term contracts 30week & 7week contracts)
Additional Notes:
- All application questions below must be completed. Candidates are encouraged to complete these in as much detail as possible.
- If successful in progressing your application you will be required to successfully complete the 800metre swim test and Lifeguard Mission for the 2025/26 season.
- All candidates will be required to participate in a preemployment medical prior to the commencement of their employment.
