Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic team in El Segundo California.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and firstlevel managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies goals and objectives
- Acquires resources for department activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
- Manages develops and motivates employees and firstlevel managers
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift however candidates must be willing to work any shift as required.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role
- More than 5 years of experience with one or more of the following within the Manufacturing Operations function (Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations Production Engineering Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors degree or higher.
- More than 3 years of experience leading managing or implementing Lean initiatives
- More than 3 years of experience leading or managing in a union represented environment
- Excellent people communication and Leadership skills that can motivate employees
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master8 years related work experience 14 years related work experience etc.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 5 of the time.
