Sentara Leigh is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technician for the Cardiovascular Interventional Center
Full Time Day Shift with some call.
If you have experience in invasive diagnostic therapeutic and/or interventional radiology procedures this position is for you!
Perform invasive diagnostic therapeutic and /or interventional procedures; provide patient and family education; operate equipment safely; complete department documentation; maintain all equipment to be clean and operational; maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations; participate in departmental Performance Improvement activities.
Must have successfully completed a Radiologic Technology Program; must be ARRT or RCIS registered and have BLS certification.
One year experience in invasive diagnostic therapeutic and/or interventional procedures required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to lift push and pull heavy equipment supplies and patients.

Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk VA is a 274bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016 including two new patient towers a beautiful atrium and a multistory parking garage. Sentara Leigh Hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services. We are also home to the regions only 24hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning wounds that wont heal infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen airborne chemical exposures and scuba diving accidents.
