Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule:FullTime

Essential Duties:
- Perform maintenance and repair of electrical systems. Recommend contracted assistance when onfacility repair is not possible.
- Locate circuit breakers and isolate circuits to perform work safely.
- Troubleshoot issues with electrical and electronics systems.
- Perform new installations including bending conduit and pulling wire.
- Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures outlets and fuses as directed.
- Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.
- Install window shades or coverings security locks etc.
- Help prepare surfaces for finishing i.e. painting as directed.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED) required.
- Three 3 years fulltimewageearning electrician in maintenance construction or industrial environment experience.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program may be substitute for two 2 years of required experience.
OR
- Graduation from electrical maintenance or construction program from equivalent technical trade school or vocational school may be substituted for two 2 years of required experience.
OR
- Graduation from a program in electrical maintenance or construction from a U.S. military technical training school may be substitute for two 2 years of required experience.
- A valid drivers license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required unless waived by management.
- Must successfully complete annual background checks and inservice training requirements both of which must be approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
