Job Description

Overview

Under the direction of USU Eastern Director of Campus Life the Housing Resident Advisor is a student leadership position. It is a 4month contracted livein position with primary responsibilities in the areas of community building in Housing.

Compensation includes a private room meal plan and monthly stipend. Students will be required to work 210 hours a week and will be eligible for additional scholarships and also other parttime jobs on campus. This position will be for Resident Advisors starting August 11 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on an oncall team with other Resident Advisors/Hall Directors.
  • Perform Health & Safety Checks
  • Report any incidents
  • Build relationships with residents and be a resource to them
  • Assist in the opening and closing of Residence Halls
  • Stay for the duration of the Spring semester to complete the checkout process
  • Making contact with prospective students through email phone calls and text.
  • Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Have no active or pending conduct sanctions through the Director of Students Office
  • Dependable
  • Good communication skills
  • Enrolled as a student at USU Eastern

Position contingent on the successful completion of a back ground check.

Light Physical Duties:

This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including lifting up to 25 pounds walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants but not necessarily occasional temperature changes. This position requires moderate physical activity including the handling of objects up to 25 pounds and/or standing or walking more than one
