Job Description:
Responsible for laboratory operations in the technical area(s) of the Hospitals and Clinics within the Advocate Health enterprise which may include department discipline and/or shift oversight. Supervises the implementation of enterprise laboratory strategies and standards through close collaboration with site leaders. Ensures peak laboratory operations by driving optimization of resources financial performance growth safety teammate engagement and quality in achieving Advocate Health goals and objectives including planning monitoring and implementing laboratory operations in a cost effective quality and serviceoriented manner.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology or equivalent
Certification / Registration / License
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) BOC) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent accrediting agency.
Experience:
Typically requires 3 years of experience in technical laboratory services and operations.
