Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation manufactures aircraft batteries. Pretty cool right We think so. We opened the doors at our Georgia facility in 2014 located just outside of west Atlanta. Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is looking for a driven candidate to fill the position of an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. All tools will be provided as well as inhouse training. Successful candidate will perform routine and nonroutine repair and maintenance of facilities buildings and equipment under the Maintenance Supervisor and senior personnel. Candidate will work within established procedures and processes and have a safetyfirst mindset. Concorde is looking for a candidate who is looking for a mechanically inclined interested in learning about maintenance of our facility and equipment and approaches this position as a learning opportunity.
Competencies:
- Assists with basic maintenance assignments involving but not limited to preventive routine and emergency maintenance electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. clearing system jams and cleaning.
- May diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensures equipment is running safely.
- Reads and interprets repair manuals basic schematics and supervisor/managers instructions.
- Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.
- Follows structured preventative maintenance schedule.
- Exercise discretion to identify projects that need higher skilled individuals services.
- Comply with all health and safety procedures and processes such as wearing a respirator in certain departments.
- Completes all safety training as assigned by the company.
- Work safely around hazardous materials.
- Ability to use basic hand/power tools and material handling equipment while ensuring OSHA regulations are met.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to multitask take instruction and follow through until the job is completed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in hot and cold environments.
- Punctual and reliable.
Education and Qualifications:
- High School Degree or GED.
- Read write and speak in English.
- 1year experience in general maintenance required.
- Candidate must have a valid drivers license.
- Must complete preemployment physical/drug screen.
Schedule:
- Start time 6:30a; MF; OT as available
