You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs an Entry Level Automotive Technician you will help keep Harris County Agencies on the road by providing toptier customer service while performing preventative maintenance services for their vehicles. Through our training program you will learn to change oil check and refill fluids rotate tires test and replace batteries inspect and replace lights and wipers perform Multipoint safety inspections and more. Youll work as a team to provide fast easy efficient and trusted services to our customers and their fleet investing in the community and your future.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist other automotive technicians with the maintenance and repairs of Harris County Vehicles
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
Assist with Vehicle Multipoint inspections of vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
Assist in documenting any work performed
Complete webbased training and in person classes to advance to become a main line automotive technician and learn a fix it right the firsttime approach
Ensure customers cars are kept clean
Must be able to account for all dealershipowned tools
Assist in roadtesting vehicles and qualitycheck work performed from vendors
Be accountable to all dealership owned tools and superior cleanliness throughout workspace and in all customer vehicles

Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
OR
Entrylevel position requiring basic automotive knowledge and enrolled in an Automotive Program at an Accredited School
Licensures:
Must maintain a valid Texas Drivers License.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must help maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
Perform any additional task assigned by management.
Must have the ability to work well with others in a diverse and highvolume environment.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess strong organizational skills.
Must move with a purpose in a highvolume environment.
Must have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
Must maintain a professional appearance and manner.

Degree or Certificate from Technical or Trade School for Automotive Repair.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
Experience in the Automotive Industry (Dealership or Shop Environment)
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Regular FullTime
Must be available to work various shifts
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions and/or tight places
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs.
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
