KBR is seeking an Associate Security Specialist to join our team at our office in Chantilly VA. An active U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities: This person will be seated at the front desk and will primarily be checking in visitors checking security clearances making badges and a few other minor security responsibilities.
Job duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Enforce and monitor security procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the government and company security policies and procedures related to physical access to buildings room couriers clearances packages documentation and debriefings.
- Develop and implement security procedures in coordination with management personnel.
- Conduct security briefings and maintain security education programs.
- Investigate losses and security violations; may recommend corrective action.
- Maintain liaison with outside agencies and keep upper management informed of all security activities.
- Ensure destruction of classified and company proprietary information in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assists in revision of procedures manuals.
- Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- No formal supervisory responsibility.
- No formal mentoring or advisory responsibilities; provides informal task guidance to new/less experienced team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
- 02 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM as well as ICD documents
- Familiarity with EQIP DISS and/or other Industry software applications
- Familiarity with personnel and physical requirements among the Intelligence Community and DoD
Work Environment:
- Location: Onsite
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 020
- Working Hours: Fulltime; 40 hours per week
Basic Compensation: The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus relocation benefits short term incentives long term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
