Position Summary |
We are seeking an ERP Solutions Architect to lead the development architecture and engineering of our ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 as well as drive the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This seniorlevel role requires an individual with expert knowledge of Dynamics NAV extensive experience in developing the codebase and a proven track record of leading ERP upgrades and transformations.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise leadership skills and project management experience with the ability to see the big picture and deliver scalable innovative solutions. This is a Tier 3 technical role with opportunities to lead and mentor teams work crossfunctionally and contribute to strategic business objectives.
Position ResponsibilitiesEssential |
ERP Development & Engineering
- Architect develop and engineer solutions within Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Design develop and maintain customizations extensions and integrations within the ERP system.
- Oversee and refine the existing codebase ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.
- Collaborate with business units to identify and implement automation opportunities custom workflows and datadriven enhancements.
ERP Upgrade Leadership
- Lead the upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 to Dynamics 365 Business Central including planning testing and golive support.
- Develop and execute a detailed migration strategy for data customizations and integrations.
- Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during the upgrade process by providing a robust change management strategy.
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Serve as the technical lead and architect on ERPrelated projects providing clear direction and oversight to development and support teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT finance operations and other departments to align the ERP system with organizational goals.
- Provide mentorship and training to developers and junior team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry trends and updates to Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central to guide strategic decisions.
Project Management
- Plan coordinate and manage ERP projects ensuring they are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to define project requirements milestones and deliverables.
- Manage vendor relationships including Microsoft partners ensuring successful collaboration and support.
Technical Expertise
- Debug troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3 escalations related to ERP performance bugs and system errors.
- Ensure system security compliance and proper documentation of processes and code changes.
Essential Skills and Experience |
- 10 years of handson experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV with deep expertise in the NAV 2015 codebase and development environment (C/AL AL).
- Proven experience leading ERP upgrades especially transitions from Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong proficiency in designing and implementing integrations with thirdparty systems.
- Experience with SQL Server database optimization and performance tuning for ERP systems.
- Advanced understanding of ERP architecture and design principles.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Beneficial Skills and Experience |
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
- Familiarity with Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Knowledge of modern agile project management methodologies.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven leadership experience in managing projects teams and crossdepartmental initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to see both the big picture and the technical details.
