Job Description

Location:Spokane Falls Main Campus Spokane

Department:SFCC Mathematics

Open Continuous.

Salary Information: This is a fulltime annualized (nontenure track) position with an entry level base salary (for a 175day academic year contract) of $73813 $104495 annually. Future advancement in base salary up to the current maximum of $104495 is based upon a combination of years of service accrued at our college and professional development activity.

Annual salary is comprised of base salary plus any combination of academic year overload contracts summer effort contracts project stipends student club advising stipends and/or department chair program lead faculty stipends consistent with the provisions of the current collective bargaining agreement between Spokane Colleges and the Association for Higher Education (AHE).

The Math Department at Spokane Falls Community College is active in the implementation of best practices math reform efforts in curriculum and placement and collaborative approaches that support students across the college. The department has received College Spark grants to support the creation of corequisite course offerings and to construct a high school transcript placement instrument. Additionally the department has been supported by internal grants supporting open education resource materials course design and curriculum resource inventories mentoring of peers and writingintensive course design. Department faculty are active in collegelevel committees and initiatives including the Curriculum Committee the Data Ambassador program the eLearning Advisory Committee and Governance.

Person hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of U.S. Citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States. This is an absolute condition of employment. This is an annually contracted (either tenure track or annualized) position. Medical dental life and long term disability insurance benefits are provided as currently administered under Public Employees Benefits Board; TIAACref retirement plan or WA State Retirement Plan.; leave accruals and usage are governed by the faculty master contract.
