The Quality Control Technician I is a highly motivated and detailed oriented person responsible for inspecting testing and measuring a variety of plastic and metal components using a variety of standard tests and metrology tooling to determine conformance to JST standards engineering specifications and customer specifications and expectations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Always maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Represent the company in a professional manner to the public customers and vendors.
- Maintain trusting relationships with customers and fellow employees.
- Check inspect and measure components to ensure they are consistent with engineering drawings (Blueprints) and customer specifications and requirements.
- Follow inspection procedures for part testing requirements.
- Follow the QA Directors instructions which may include duties outside of the quality department as needed.
- Perform nondestructive and destructive tests according to written procedures on parts to identify conformity to specified design requirements such as water leak check and spark testing.
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team.
- Quality Control Inspections
- Inspect and measure simple components against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform basic inprocess verification and validation checks including:
- Leak testing of tanks and baths.
- Holiday testing of coatings.
- Conduct final station audits and validation including:
- Verifying production documentation & records are complete confirming no outstanding issues remain.
- Conducting visual inspections to verify JST Stations meet company quality and workmanship standards.
- Verify & Validate Station Functionality before shipment including:
- Powering on JST Stations and verifying startup Sequences.
- Validating HMI and software by testing touchscreen controls to ensure user inputs produce the correct machine responses.
- Validating Process Modules/baths by filling verifying heater functionality and ensuring recirculation operates correctly under real conditions.
- Simulating customer operation by running JST stations through a full production cycle to confirm it performs as intended.
- Accept or reject products based on inspection results and communicate findings to the production team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- At least 6 months of applied technical or industrial metrology experience required or equivalent education. This could include time spent manufacturing as a machinist precision welder finish carpenter or other trade.

- Able to bend and squat to check parts is required as position occasionally requires crawling on the ground to inspect larger parts.
- Able to walk stand and work on feet for the duration of shift.
- Able to climb balance stoop kneel crouch reach with hands and arms grasp handle and operate hand/power tools or controls.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to visually check tiny features of small parts.
- The ability to perform basic computer functions.
