Job Description

The Hospice LPN will serve patients in Oklahoma and Arkansas. We have a variety of shift options and configurations available. The LPN is mobile and use of personal vehicle is required with a generous mileage reimbursement. In some circumstances a fleet vehicle may be assigned. The LPN must be comfortable going in patient homes and facility settings to provide nursing care.

Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current Arkansas/Oklahoma Compact LPN license without restriction; current satisfactory TB skin test; minimum 1 year nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare facility preferred; at least one year experience is preferred in the areas of home health hospice gerontology geriatrics acute care & care of the terminally ill. Ability to cope with human suffering emergencies and other stresses. Should be caring sympathetic responsible and detail oriented. Must be able to correctly assess patients conditions and determine when consultation is required. Reliable transportation and a current drivers license with liability insurance.

General Description: Provides nursing and supportive care in accordance w/an interdisciplinary plan of care. Treat patients educate patients about medical conditions and provide advice and emotional support to patients family members. Responsible for documentation operation of medical equipment and administration of medications. Follows plan of care and works closely with Case Manager Physician and other Interdisciplinary Team members to ensure exceptional care.
