Job Description

Join our global team for a career filled with opportunities to solve challenges both small and large local and global simple and complex.

The Wilhelmsen Experience will give you the chance to meet and work with people all over the world. You will learn a large variety of skills such as communication skills writing skills professional skills team building skills and mostly real work experience during their internship.

This is not your typical internship program and is designed to give you a full view of Wilhelmsens business without taking up too much of your valuable time.

The Wilhelmsen Experience will be 6 weeks long and require 1015 hours per week starting June 17 2025 and ending July 25 2025 broken up between several days or completed all in one day. You will move through 4 Blockseach Block will be devoted to the different Wilhelmsen entities: Wilhelmsen Ships Service Wilhelmsen Port Services Wilhelmsen Ship Management and Global Business Services.

The Wilhelmsen Experience allows you to:

  • Shadow several areas and roles within Wilhelmsen to be introduced to the overall operation of the organization.
  • Board vessels (if possible) and receive handson learning experience from Agency Operators and Husbandry Agents.
  • Visit customer locations and learn from Wilhelmsens Sales employees in the field to gather handson knowledge.
  • Obtain a real time view of Wilhelmsens logistics and operations processes and procedures.
  • See behind the scenes processes of Global Business Services which includes Human Resources Finance and IT services.
  • Attend department meetings and interact with different levels of management.

Qualifications:

  • You must currently be a student in a maritime logistics business or related field may apply.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Currently eligible to work in the United States.
