Position Summary:
The AutoCAD drafter will be responsible for drawing maintaining and updating extrusion drawings and other mechanical components in a manufacturing environment.
Additionally you will assist working closely with engineers and customers to develop accurate technical drawings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for extrusion shapes as per customer requirements.
- Create fabrication and/or assembly drawings for production components.
- Update and revise existing drawings to incorporate updates changes and record the revisions.
- Use precise measuring tools to reverseengineer or draw a part as needed.
- Ensure that the drawings comply with the industry standards and company guidelines.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of completed drawings and projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and experienced with Inventor software.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a drafting role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings tolerances and manufacturing processes.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and move material or parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
