Coordinates With: Controls Group Administrative Staff Management Team

JOB SUMMARY: Certified Control Systemsseeks a Controls Technician PreApprentice to perform installation of the system infrastructurewire support systems cabling and conduit on Building Automation (also called Temperature Controls) Control Projects. The selected individual will also install panels controllers field devices & components of the systems and provide all final termination of the cabling to ensure a complete installation and functional control system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Read review and follow project related documents such as blueprints drawings project scope budgets deadlines and sequence of operation for proper requirements
• Assemble and prewire electrical components
• Basic use of power hand tools and conduit benders.
• Understand electrical and low voltage electrical material
• Someone with an entry level mechanical aptitude
• Provide trust & leadership to your whole team as well as customers
• Coordinate material and ordering requirements with Project Managers
• Maintain & manage your material stock for the project as well as your equipment (such as tools ladders drills gang box etc.
• Attend job site meetings to represent & discuss workflow scheduling and progress

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• 2 years of experience of fulltime work experience.
• Experience in the construction industry.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong work ethic
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities (with interruptions) accurately and calmly and still meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to coordinate and work well with others
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team atmosphere
• Must take pride work and accept responsibility with a friendly and professional attitude

Additional Notes:

Candidate should be able to work overtime and out of town occasionally (approx. 30. There may also be travel andovernight stays associated with required trainings or classes. A history of excellent employment attendance valid driverslicense and clean driving record required. Background checks and drug screenings are required for employment. EMCOR MSICertified Control Systems and industry associated safety plans will be adhered to. All necessary tools to perform required tasks for this position are to be provided by team member. EMCOR MSI Certified Control Systems will replace tools as wear and tear appear.
