Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an asneeded basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
- Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Supplement and alter where appropriate lesson plans assignments tests and materials. Maintain accurate student records grades and other requirements.
- Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
- Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students with their learning.
- Interact with students and coworkers in a professional and cooperative manner complying with College policies guidelines and expectations.
- Maintain a safe quality online educational environment.
- Must demonstrate the ability to promote an environment that reflects the broad backgrounds represented by our students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Business Operations Applications and Technology Program Standard:
A qualified faculty member in Business Operations Applications and Technology meets the program standard through one of four routes:
- Possesses an earned masters or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business or computerrelated discipline as appropriate to the program; or
- Possesses a related or outoffield masters degree from a regionally accredited institution with documented 18 postsecondary semester hours or equivalent of courses in business or computerrelated discipline as appropriate to the program beyond the introductory principle(s) level; or
- Possesses an earned related or outoffield masters degree from a regionally accredited institution with documentation in two or more of the following:
- Professional certification (national regional or state)
- Two years of infield professional employment
- Documented evidence of teaching excellence including date of award
- Documentation of research and publication in the field
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelors degree equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework CEUs vendor or military; or
- Possesses an earned bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution in a business or computerrelated discipline appropriate to the program with documentation in two or more of the following:
- Professional certification (national regional or state) or
- Two years of infield professional employment or
- Documented evidence of teaching excellence including date of award or
- Documentation of research and publication in field or
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelors degree equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent matter coursework CEUs vendor or military
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $45/contact hour
