Job Description
Lowell School in Washington DC is seeking certified swim instructors for our Aquatics program serving students ages PK8; this will be an immediate hire.

We offer:
- Water Safety Instructor training (WSI)
- Lifeguarding CPR AED and FirstAid training/certification
- Certified Pool Operator training/certification
Shifts require day evening and/or weekend availability:
- Monday Friday from 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
- Monday Friday from 3:30 7:00 PM
- Saturday from 8:30 AM 4:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Previous swim instruction experience is required
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred
- Current Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPRAED certifications are required
- Demonstrated experience working with children
- Excellent character integrity and adaptability
- Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels
- Must be able to lift push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid (American Red Cross preferred).
- Swimming skills are necessary and must be effectively demonstrated prior to employment.
- Must be able to swim 200 yards
- Must be able to communicate with students in a pool environment.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Expected Salary Range: $21.00 $24.00 per hour
