Job Summary:
As a Senior Analyst on the AML Analytics team within Risk Products & Services youll support Central 1s Payment Growth Strategy by helping bring our new Enterprise Transaction Monitoring (ETM) system to life. Your work will shape how we detect and manage AML/ATF risks and ensure we stay ahead of compliance needs.
Youll lead the development and refinement of data strategies manage the ETM system postimplementation and act as a subject matter expert to support our credit union partners and payments clients. This role blends analytics regulatory expertise and collaboration across teams.

What youll be doing
Identify money laundering and other financial crime risks using data analysis and industry insights; recommend actions to reduce exposure.
Use a variety of data sources to uncover trends streamline risk detection and reduce timetoaction.
Develop and maintain AML/ATF and sanctions detection rules and modelsranging from simple to complexto flag suspicious activity.
Dive into large datasets to find patterns correlations and insights that can improve risk models.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand risk trends product vulnerabilities and compliance needs.
Work with internal data owners and external vendors to enhance model inputs and effectiveness.
Use data visualization tools to monitor model performance and present findings.
Produce regular reports (weekly monthly ad hoc) with insights and recommendations for leadership.
Analyze KPIs to evaluate the impact of current AML Risk and Compliance strategies.
Prepare summaries and datadriven responses for complex issues or senior leadership escalations.
Partner with crossfunctional teams to support investigations and risk assessments.
Stay informed about Central 1s products and infrastructure to help develop relevant practical solutions.
Pitch in on other tasks as needed to support our clients and strategic goals.
What youll have:
5 years of handson experience in analytics; AML/ATF analytics is a bonus.
Strong understanding of AML practices policies and procedures especially in large complex organizations.
Familiar with AML/ATF/Sanctions screening tools and technologybased solutions.
Good grasp of AML risks and how to reduce them.
Solid knowledge of Canadian regulations (FINTRAC OSFI) and global standards like FATF.
Understanding of the payments industry is helpful.
Strong at building relationships negotiating and leading teams across different departments.
Comfortable speaking with executives and influencing decisions.
Thinks strategically and can also execute daytoday tasks.
Independent and confidentworks well with teams but also speaks up when needed.
Passionate about innovation and solving challenging problems.
Analytical & Technical Skills
Salary Range: $85000$105000
The salary range representsthe job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant jobrelated factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
