Company:
Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services is currently hiring for an Associate or MidLevel Industrial Engineer to become part of the F15 EPAWSS Production Engineering team in San Antonio TX.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a high pressure fast paced environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply Industrial Engineering concepts to develop operating plans and recovery plans conduct capacity and constraintbased analysis develop and refine precedence networks and conduct overall process effectiveness studies. You will also have opportunities to develop implement and improve processes focused on lowering costs and improving schedule performance and quality. Candidates must be able to operate within a multifunctional team coordinating with various departments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops operating plans precedence networks and recovery plans. Schedules work plans conducts data analysis (historical trends and production impacts).
- Develops models databases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g. statistics operations research trend and production impacts) and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers (e.g. management senior leadership other departments suppliers).
- Develops implements and improves processes to enhance schedule performance lower cost and improve quality through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
- Uses engineering methods (e.g. mathematical models simulations statistics) to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g. facilities personnel materials equipment) in the creation and validation of operating plan.
- Under general direction analyzes and designs value streams including capability capacity throughput work flow and logistics (e.g. critical path leadtime transportation factory layout).
- Candidate must be able to interact with other employees to gather data for process improvements. This may include observing documenting processes and collecting data in manufacturing areas or on aircraft during various production phases.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
- 2 years experience as an Industrial Engineer or Production Engineer in a factory environment
- 2 years experience with precedence development generating operating/recovery plans capacity analysis
- 1 years experience conducting Overall Process Effectiveness studies (ex: Time Study)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5 years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college university technical school licensing/certification programs etc. (MidLevel)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university
- Aircraft / Aerospace industry experience. Familiarity with Manufacturing Operations Manufacturing Planning engineering drawings and specifications and lean concepts (certifications preferred)
- 2 years of experience with any of following programming languages: VBA SQL Python SAS
