Avantor is seeking a dedicated and driven Product Manager to oversee our extensive reagents and chemicals portfolio. This role is crucial in supporting our customers spanning across the pharmaceutical biopharmaceutical life sciences academia and applied markets. The Product Manager will play an instrumental role in driving strategic initiatives for business development and growth supporting the sales team and ensuring the efficient of daytoday marketing operations.
What were looking for:
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biochemistry Life Sciences or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA MS MSc. is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management preferably within the chemicals reagents or life sciences industries.
Skills: Fundamental marketing competencies strong analytical skills excellent communication and presentation abilities and proficiency in using relevant software well versed in Microsoft Office tools
Attributes: Result orientation proactive respect for others customerfocused ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
How youll thrive and create an impact:
Market Analysis strategic initiatives and business development: Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends competitive landscape and potential opportunities for product development and differentiation. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive profitable business growth and market expansion
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the performance of the product portfolio leveraging data analysis utilizing key metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement
Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team by participating in field visits addressing customer queries and providing technical support to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales performance.
Marketing Operations: Oversee daytoday marketing activities including the development of marketing materials product launches events & tradeshows and promotional strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Customer Orientation: Collect evaluate and assess continuous feedback from customers understand their needs and preferences to strengthen product offerings and services that meet market demands and support profitable growth
Brand Development: Enhance the brand identity of Avantors laboratory chemicals portfolio through consistent messaging visual elements events/tradeshows and marketing strategies. Increase brand awareness loyalty and trust among customers ensuring Avantors products are recognized for their quality and innovation
Pipeline Generation: Develop strategies to generate a robust pipeline of potential customers and business opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to convert prospects into loyal customers
Crossfunctional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Sales Manufacturing R&D Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure the timely delivery of highquality products that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
