Job Description
Thompson Engineering is looking for a qualified AEC Marketing Specialist. This position is responsible
for the support of the proposal process and company marketing materials. The position will include
assignments across multiple technical disciplines and branch offices.
Duties
- Support of the proposal development process including understanding the solicitation
coordinating content exchange with the client organizing content libraries designing templates
layouts and graphics generating and reviewing each draft finalizing the submission and
delivering final files for digital and print formats. - Proofread and edit required submitted technical writings resumes project descriptions etc. for
overall correctness and grammatical errors. - Assist Proposal Managers in document organization.
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of the teams marketing database materials for
qualification portions of submittals to include boilerplate proposal material resumes project
descriptions and photo libraries. - Administrative duties include preparation production and submission of proposals and
marketing materials. - Support multiple proposals and presentations in a timesensitive deadlinedriven environment
while maintaining high levels of organization and quality.
Minimum Requirements
- Fouryear degree (marketing communications graphic design language arts) preferred.
- Entrylevel to two years of experience with document creation graphic design and/or
administrative tasks. - Experience utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign Photoshop Illustrator) ideal but not
required. - Proficient skills in Microsoft 365 (Word PowerPoint SharePoint Outlook Teams).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail organization and the ability to work independently under tight
deadlines. - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
- Teamoriented attitude with the ability to listen collaborate and communicate with Account
Executives marketing specialists and external clients. - Strong time management and task prioritization skills required to ensure timely submittal
and/or delivery of proposals and presentations. - Flexibility and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to travel overnight on occasion.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
