JOB SPECIFICATIONS Classification: EXEMPT Status & Schedule: FULLTIME MONDAY FRIDAY 8AM 5PM Location: REMOTE (must reside in following approved states: OR CA AZ MO FL AL) Salary: $2939.46 $3989.27/BIWEEKLY Department: FINANCE Reports to: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Supervision Exercised: NONSUPERVISORY Job Purpose: This position is responsible for conducting indepth financial analysis to support business decisionmaking optimize financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves extensive work with financial databases data modeling and reporting to enhance financial transparency and operational efficiency.
Qualifications Education & Experience - Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Five years experience in financial analysis budgeting and database management preferably in a healthcare or managed care setting.
- Proficiency in financial modeling data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Strong understanding of healthcare finance including capitation models riskbased payments and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets identify patterns and communicate insights effectively.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in SQL Excel and financial reporting software and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Excellent problemsolving communication and project management skills.
Essential Responsibilities: Financial Analysis & Reporting - Prepare analyze and interpret monthly consolidated financial statements ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of the annual budget incorporating datadriven projections and trend analysis.
- Compile and present financial data for monthly board meetings tailoring reports to various stakeholder needs.
- Support the preparation and submission of quarterly Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Exhibit L reports ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) rate exhibits to establish equitable reimbursement rates for provider partners.
- Oversee and maintain the process of allocating Oregon Health Plan (OHP) premiums to provider partners ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop maintain and enhance financial dashboards and automated reports using database management and business intelligence tools.
- Present financial reports to diverse audiences including internal staff executive leadership and boards of directors translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual performance to forecasts and prior periods identifying trends risks and opportunities.
- Assess and report on profitability of various business lines providing strategic recommendations to enhance financial sustainability.
Database Management & Data Analytics: - Design and maintain financial data models and reporting structures to support datadriven decisionmaking.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems reconciling discrepancies and implementing process improvements.
- Leverage database query languages (e.g. SQL) and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) to extract manipulate and visualize financial data.
- Utilize data visualization platforms to create intuitive dashboards and reports that enhance financial decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance financial data accessibility and automation streamlining financial reporting processes.
Strategic Planning & Compliance: - Assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and leadership team with capital budgeting financial forecasting and scenario planning.
- Evaluate business development opportunities through financial modeling and returnoninvestment (ROI) analysis.
- Participate in and/or lead projects of moderate to complex scope ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry regulations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues engaged in general accounting activities sharing insights to improve financial operations.
- Participate in quality and organizational process improvement activities and teams when requested.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as applicable to area(s) of responsibility.
