One of the Pacific Northwests best local news organizations seeks a reporter.
Located in picturesque Astoria Oregon near the junction of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean The Astorian is a small town newspaper with a global outlook.
The Astorian is a digitalfirst newsroom that publishes online daily and in print three times per week. We look for people who are striving to be better at their craft and who embrace the challenges of enterprise and beat reporting.
We value news judgement accurate and timely reporting creativity and the ability to tell a story in both words and image.
You must have the ability to meet deadlines turn around story assignments and edit photos for your stories and write accurate and informative photo cutlines. Video skills are a preference but not a requirement.
You will have a flexible schedule which may include some nights and weekends. Fulltime hours are 37.5 hours per week.
