Job Description
Computer Technician I
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess knowledge of and skill in the following: Microsoft Windows Desktop ChromeOS IOS Android OS and basic configurations of each.
A Certification and/or applicable experience
Possess ability to communicate well and interact on a professional level with both district staff and students.
Organize troubleshoot and solve IT related tasks with little supervision and work in a fastpaced demanding environment.
Show patience with end users
Possess a good work ethic
Possess reliable transportation
Possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds due to equipment requirements good vision / hearing and ability to work at extreme heights on ladders and lifts.
Multitasking abilities with frequent interruptions required
Prolonged sitting and standing required
Stooping bending reaching and lifting required
Physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials required
Ability to work in stressful and hectic environments required
The Board may find appropriate and acceptable alternatives to the above qualifications.
REPORTS TO: Manager of Information Technology
JOB GOAL: To implement and maintain district technology.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The position will have the responsibility for hardware infrastructure and software technical support for the Harrison School District. This could include but is not limited to computer installation configuration and transport; software installation and configuration; network configuration and maintenance; wireless configuration and support; security control; and enduser technical Coordinator has the option to assign any other duties necessary.
