We understand the design and construction implementation nuances of hyperscale colocation HPC and private enterprise data centers and our teams are agile to meet the needs of the project to ensure the quality and the Level 1 5 commissioning is completed on schedule.
As a Mission Critical Commissioning Agent based out of our Chapel Hill NC office you will help us empower our data center clients to trust in the reliability of their mission critical systems to preserve data protect assets and save lives. Youll also lead efforts to achieve energyefficient building solutions and help operators improve their ability to safely and effectively manage the data center. You will work in a multidisciplined and crosstrained team of commissioning professionals in a teamoriented atmosphere. Heres why we need you:
In this role you will be responsible for resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned including developing and implementing the Level 1 5 commissioning process delivery set forth in Owners Project Requirements (OPR) Basis of Design (BOD) plans and specifications. You will oversee and execute the quality observation and testing in the field.
Expertise of our most successful Commissioning Agent:
- Minimum 2 years of commissioning experience for data center or mission critical facilities.
- Technical or Associate Degree from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience in mechanical electrical and/or controls systems.
- General understanding of building systems across all design disciplines. A more detailed understanding of power distribution cooling systems and controls desired.
- Ability to learn to interpret guidelines standards and best practices related to data center construction.
- Ability to become proficient with software programs for business as well as couldbased commissioning and construction:
- Microsoft Word Excel
- CxAlloy
- Autodesk BIM360 ACCBuild and similar.
- Ability to travel as required by the project. We do not promote longterm deployments to site.
- Willingness to become OSHA certified.
- Valid drivers license and state required vehicle insurance.
Effective skills to help you flourish:
- Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body.
- Direct positive communication with Owners Contractors and Engineers. We value a problemsolving productive mentality in a nonadversarial environment.
- Ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments and promote quality installation.
- Ability to understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools.
- Effective working individually and within team environments.
