The Sr Software Engineer works with a team of software engineers to design implement and deploy software which meet customers requirements scales easily and supports deployment in highly available environments. The Sr Software Engineer actively participates in architecture and design of various software components passionate about crafting applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization micro services and any other technologies. They work as part of the Emerging Tech DevOps teams in the analysis design development and implementation of application(s) and all its software components. They work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions. They normally receive little instruction on daily work and only require general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
In this role youll collaborate with multifunctional teams to design develop and implement solutions that improve product capabilities to provide business values platform stability and scalability.

Job Responsibilities:
The Sr. software engineer will be part of theTBG organization which is responsible for the below:
- Design and build external APIs as products for easy customer onboarding and integration
- Develop and maintain largescale production services transactions
- Build internal and public REST APIs and eventbased systems used by internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with distributed teams to brainstorm APIasaproduct ideas with product managers design and engineers.
- Ensure high availability and performance of services.
- Take ownership of the API products you work on including SLA oncall incident resolution and customer feedback.
Technical Engineering Services
- Drives engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Encouraged to guide base and associate level engineers as needed.
- Understands system protocols how systems operate and data flows. Aware of current technology benefits. Encouraged to independently develop a full software stack. Understands the building blocks interactions dependencies and tools required to complete software and automation work. Independent study of current technology is encouraged.
- Interact with system engineers to define system requirement and/or vital requirements for automation.
Innovation
- Contributes to designs to implement new ideas which apply new frameworks to improve an existing or new system/process/service.
- Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more optimally through industry perspectives.
- Understands the creation of company IPR.
Technical Leadership
- Collaborates with technical teams and uses system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
- Continuously learns and guides others existing and new technologies.
- Contributes to the development of others through mentoring or in house workshops and learning sessions.
Technology Strategy
- Contributes to new and existing technology options that support business goals.
- Understands current technology that supports business goals and how current technology developments can provide benefit to company products and applications.
Technical Writing
- Writes basic documentation on how technology works. Creates clear documentation for new code and systems used.
- Documenting systems designs presentations and business requirements for consumption and consideration at the manager level.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
- 47 years Technical engineering experience. (Required)
- Experience designing developing implementing and integrating with API as a product and REST APIs.
- Experience with development of APIdriven SoftwareasaService (SaaS)
- Familiarity with thirdparty libraries and cloudbased services.
- Experience working with multifunctional teams such as design product and data teams to deliver phenomenal user experiences.
- Understanding computer science fundamentals data structures and algorithms to ensure consistency with software engineering standard methodologies including objectoriented and functional programming.
- Mongo/Cosmo knowledge and experience is required
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Familiar with Spring boot.

Base Pay Range: $113600 $205000Corporate Bonus Target: 15The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At TMobile employees in regular nontemporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a yearend bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
