As a Research Associate III at Baxter your work contributes directly to making a significant impact on others. We collaborate crossfunctionally and lead by influence. As a key part of projects our research and development team is responsible for delivering results to drive decisions and ensure safety of our existing and new products. Your Team

While everyone at Baxter has a shared passion for our mission the R&D teams play a meaningful role in our ability to save and sustain lives. Scientists and engineers in R&D work together to develop test sustain and launch products that improve patient care. As a Research Associate III you will be responsible for performing analytical testing with minimal assistance demonstrating technical knowledge to troubleshoot problems and handle nonroutine situations assisting and mentor other team members and embracing accountability for deliverables and leading team discussions/initiatives. While you will primarily support stability testing you may also support new product development and/or sustaining product initiatives.

What youll be doing

  • Develop analytical plan for new product development and sustaining product projects.
  • Collaborate with other functions such as project management regulatory formulation manufacturing and quality control in project teams.
  • Act as a study director for thus design and execute method validation and transfer studies.
  • Contribute to technical feasibility analysis of complex research and design concepts.
  • Lead the analytical problem solving efforts to meet urgent business needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant QSR and other regulatory requirements related to R&D (product development design and safety) to ensure compliance in all research data collection and reporting activities.
  • In addition to having an indepth knowledge and understanding of cGxP and related regulations and guidance is able to provide expert advice and/or is an active participant in the generation review adoption and interpretation of such regulations.
  • Maintain focus on meeting both external and internal customer expectations.

What youll bring

  • Bachelors degree in relevant scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry pharmaceutical sciences) with at least 5 years experience or 3 years experience with a Masters degree.
  • Analytical chemistry instrumentation experience (e.g. HPLC UPLC pH KF etc.
  • Must have HPLC/UPLC/UHPLC experience in a regulated environment and strong technical problemsolving skills.
  • Electronic Lab Notebook experience is preferred
  • Pharmaceutical GMP laboratory experience is desired.
  • Empower experience required. Custom fields experience is desired.
  • Stability study and/or method validation experience is desired
  • Must demonstrate effectiveness in ability to train others leadership organization teamwork/interpersonal skills results orientation and task completion.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and in a timely fashion.
  • Possess relevant laboratory/technical writing and computer skills.
  • Ability to organize and communicate complex information effectively with managers peers and subordinates.

At Baxter we are committed to equitable pay for all employees and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96000 $132000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location skills and expertise experience and other relevant factors.This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
