Software Engineer
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join us in supporting our great nation specifically on the Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) HOPE engineeringteam in Colorado Springs CO.
We are looking for innovative creative and highly motivated individuals to support the design and management of various databases. Specifically the implementation and configuration of structured and unstructured databases for big data analytics within a government enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for learning the drive to innovate and a humble attitude. You will work cutting edge projects solving problems that most arent even aware exist.

Key Responsibilities:
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI **Must be a US Citizen**
- Design engineer analyze and develop software prototypes as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop proofofconcepts and prototypes of backend and backend for frontend components
- Engage with customers to better define the problem space and vision to determine capabilities and priorities for prototypes
- Work across multiple technology stacks gaining handson experience with various languages frameworks and tools to support a broad range of applications
- Work with database technologies such as PostgreSQL Mongo DB Oracle MySQL and others
Work Environment:
- Location:Colorado Springs CO Hybrid or Onsite

Qualifications:
Required:
- BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript React and JavaScript for frontend development and data visualization
- Experience with Python C#
- Experience with Docker AWS and Kubernetes for containerization cloud services and orchestration
- Handson experience with Apache Kafka AWS SQS AWS S3 and developing RESTful APIs using Django and Flask frameworks
- Proficient in using GitLab for version control CI/CD pipelines and collaboration
- Experienced in implementing Agile Software Development methodologies for efficient and iterative project management
- Passion for conducting research tackling complex problems and continuously learning and adopting new technologies
Desired:
- Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working is Erlang family of software languages
- Ability to work independently to research and solve customer pain points
- High level of curiosity and investigative mindset with an attention to detail a tenacity of thought the flexibility to adapt to new challenges and the resiliency to overcome shortterm hurdles by staying focused on the teams deliverables
Basic Compensation:$111900.00 $167800.00 (Colorado Springs Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a signonbonus relocation benefits shortterm incentives longterm incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
