Job Description
An Independent school in Haringey is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Economics Teacher for a permanent fulltime position commencing in September. The successful Economics Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5 with the principles of economics and the workings of the economy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging Economics Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Prepare students effectively for examinations in Economics ensuring a solid grasp of key concepts and theories.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking about economic issues.
- Assess and monitor student progress in economics providing insightful and constructive feedback as an Economics Teacher.
- Contribute to the development of the economics curriculum and relevant teaching materials.
- Encourage an interest in finance and the global economy.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Economics.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Economics at the secondary level including Key Stage 5.
- A strong academic background in economics and a passion for the subject.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills capable of leading engaging discussions as an Economics Teacher.
- Ability to motivate students to think critically and independently about economic principles.
- A commitment to teamwork and a supportive approach to colleagues and students.
