As an Early Career Teacher (Food Technology) you will be supported in your professional development by experienced colleagues and mentors helping you become a skilled educator while making a positive impact in the classroom.
As an Early Career Teacher (Food Technology) you will:
Teach engaging lessons in food technology to students in Key Stage 3 and 4 covering essential topics such as nutrition cooking techniques food safety and sustainability
Support student progress by providing constructive feedback and creating a positive and motivating learning environment
Collaborate with the department to refine and enhance the Food Technology curriculum ensuring lessons are dynamic inclusive and challenging for all students
Foster students passion for food technology encouraging them to engage with practical skills as well as the theoretical aspects of the subject
Participate in extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and foodrelated events to further enrich students learning experiences
Work closely with your mentor receiving guidance and support as an Early Career Teacher (Food Technology) to ensure continuous professional growth
Contribute to the wider school community by taking part in school events and supporting other initiatives that promote the subject of Food Technology
We are seeking a dedicated Early Career Teacher (Food Technology) who is eager to develop their teaching career. The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Food Technology Home Economics or a related field
A passion for food technology and a desire to inspire students to develop both practical and theoretical knowledge in the subject
A commitment to developing your skills as an Early Career Teacher (Food Technology) with the support of a strong mentorship programme
Strong communication skills to engage with students colleagues and the wider school community
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards contributing to the schools food technology programme and extracurricular activities
