Job description

Seeking a Paralegal with Construction Law experience to join the growing electrical company located in Norcross. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills strong reasoning skills effective communication skills and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

Knowledge and experience in the commercial construction industry is required

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with legal review of contracts NDAs and other internal legal documents
  • Serve as a liaison with an outside attorney when required
  • Assist in contract negotiations with owners general contractors and subcontractors
  • Prepare monthly CCIP/OCIP reporting when required
  • Monitor and assist with business licensing and registration
  • Assist with all legal matters and manage cases
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Legal administrative support experience required; Construction and Paralegal certification preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have minimum of 5 years contract law experience in the electrical and construction industry
  • High understanding of contract language and terminology
  • Experience reviewing construction contracts and providing verbiage replacement if needed
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure when needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PDF editing programs
  • Strong time management and problemsolving skills
  • Construction law experience is a must
