Job Description
Ready for an exciting biotech startup We are looking for you! We are a startup in the field of genetic diagnostics. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with cancer by developing and providing tools to better understand and manage cancer. We achieve this by using liquid biopsies to identify a patients individual genetic cancer signature through a blood sample and tracking it throughout the course of their disease.

Tasks
Tasks
Your task will be to support us in our mission with your expertise in Bioinformatics and Data Science. Some of your tasks will include:
- Explore and visualize complex biological data to gain insights and support research goals
- Run maintain and improve existing bioinformatics and analysis pipelines in an IVD environment
- Implement innovative analysis methods for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data
- Maintain and enhance our current systems to ensure robustness and scalability
Requirements
What Were Looking For
- A relevant university degree (MSc BSc solid experience or equivalent); a PhD is a plus but definitely not required
- 2 years of handson experience in bioinformatics or related fields
- Experience in statistical analysis & visualization of large datasets
- Strong proficiency in Python (bonus points for experience with other languages)
- Working knowledge of commandline tools (Linux Bash) and version control with Git
Nice to Haves
- Experience with developing and implementing bioinformatics pipelines
- Familiarity with machine learning/deep learning techniques
- Comfortable working in highperformance computing (HPC) environments
- Basic understanding of software development practices
- Experience writing and validating medical device software
